Grey Wind was the direwolf bonded toRobb Stark. Born with five other siblings, Grey Wind had smoke grey fur and yellow eyes. Grey Wind stayed by Robb's side, and went with him when he went to war against the Lannisters, even fighting alongside him in battle, leading to the unfounded rumours that Grey Wind was actually Robb in wolf form. Grey Wind is tied up when Robb visits the Twins to reconcile with the Freys, as he is hostile towards them. Grey Wind was then killed by crossbow fire when the Freys murdered the wolf still leashed during the Red Wedding. Its head was then severed and placed, using a stake, in place of Robb Stark's head, before being paraded around the camp.
