"When the snows fall, and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies...but the pack survives."
―Sansa Stark.

Princess Sansa Stark is a member of House Stark, and a princess of the Second and Third kingdoms of the North. The second child and first daughter of Eddard and Catelyn Stark, Sansa had fanciful, naive delusions of marrying the "handsome" and "gentle" Prince Joffrey so she could eventually become queen of the Seven Kingdoms. In the end, she ended up a ward and political hostage of the Lannisters after her father's execution. She suffered many tortures at the hands of Joffrey: just when it seemed she wouldn't have to marry him, and instead marry Ser Loras, she was forced to marry Tyrion Lannister. Luckily, this marriage was brief, and Sansa was able to escape King's Landing with Littlefinger during the Purple Wedding. She would later arrive at the Vale and assume the alias of Alayne Stone where, following the death of her aunt, would remain as Baelish's ward. In the books, she remains under her assigned alias. In the show, she is married to Ramsay Bolton, although she later escapes to Castle Black, rallies an army, and returns to retake Winterfell: she now sits as the princess of the Third Kingdom of the North.
